If you are using Windows, you can delete the program by going to Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs. Scroll down to the program and click on Change/Remove or if the program has an uninstall option under All Programs. Delete the installer and delete the folder where it was installed. Its a no cost solution. If you are using another OS, try to find help for it from the Internet. I don’t think you have to spend cash just to delete the program.

To remove any software that won’t allow you to uninstall try the free Revo Uninstaller from
Open it and tick mark all items in bold it says are in the registry and select delete.

Antivir is a rogue deadly virus that doubles as fake antispyware. The program promotes “scareware” which attempts to frighten you into buying it. If you are one of the unfortunate people who downloaded this virus your computer and personal information are at risk.

Fortunately with the right program you can remove Antivir pretty quickly. You need a program that scans the registry and other embedded areas the virus hangs out in. You can try the program I use for free at

    Good luck!
