I was planning to add to my Norton 360 because last time I had it a virus kinda sneaked in. Uh what is the best tandem antivir to Norton? Will Avira clash with it? or AVG or Kaspersky?
My last antivir was Norton 2008 hehe. Cause I had a new laptop so– I don’t want the same thing to happen :-)
Thank you guys for the answer! A lot are saying Avira. Still to make a decision

It’s never good to have 2 actual anti-virus products on your computer/laptop. They would conflict with eachother. You can however have a back up to compliment your current anti-virus by using spyware programs. I would recommend using something like Spybot along side your antivirus.

Simply put, having more than 1 antivirus don’t make your system MORE secure. There are system files which are used by these antiviruses. So, having more than 2 antivirus will make your system slow and ineffective.

    BAD.

They’ll slow your system down and clash into each other. You almost might as well intentionally install a virus on your computer.

Norton 360 is about as effective as you’re going to get when it comes to antivirus.

You’d be better off cranking your User Account Control to its maximum, and watching your computer practices. Most viruses don’t “sneak” in. Sometimes they do, but more often than not people are browsing places or downloading things that they shouldn’t, or they’re not being adequately cautious with email attachments, etc.

Regardless, no, never install two antivirus products simultaneously. At most see if there’s a higher rated product than the one you’re currently using, and do things like set your software firewall to notify you of all outbound and incoming connections, etc.

No, you cannot use 2 anti-virus in one PC it may cause conflict. Do not use Norton, I have Norton 360 but it is such a resource hog consumes RAM and slow to scan and Norton doesn’t block the website it just check it, OK if this happens your friend gives you a link then you opened it Norton doesn’t check it because you need to go to the homepage first so that Norton can check it if it is OK, but Avira blocks a website that has any virus or spy-ware on it blocks it like when you visit the site the a warning comes out whatever you do you cannot visit that site because it’s block like there’s no internet connection unless you disable Avira and visit that site that’s a bad thing to do so go to Avira iI have it for 5 years now and no problems in my PC
