    Go into C:\Program Files

There will be a folder called either AV or Antivir

Open the folder to confirm it has a file called Antivir.exe with picture of the Microsoft shield.

Delete that entire folder and reboot.

antivir is a malware/spyware/trojan try googling it to find a way to remove it.

That’s not an antivirus, it’s a virus that’s pretending to be an antivirus. It’s sending your browser to pay sites when you go to facebook, etc…

You’ll probably need to reformat, it often prevents real antiviruses from being installed on your machine after you’ve become infected.

    Oh ya antivir..
Download and and run complete and full scan with them, then remove what they found.
For complete cleanup, go to and run an online scan.
As for an anti-virus, download AVG or Avast for great protection.
People say avg doesn’t have rootkit protection, but when you have superantispyware and malwarebytes, they both detect rootkits.
